Learning Collections/High School Collection

Learning Collections, For High Schools

High School Collection

Three student workbooks, three educator and facilitator guides, and an adaptable institutional learning pathway, written for high school students and the educators who work with them.

Students are asked to show their reasoning, not to land on the right answer.

Three workbooks, three guides and one pathway

The three topics are AI ethics and digital identity, neuroprivacy, and work, identity and careers. Every workbook has a matching guide for the teachers, tutors and facilitators who lead it, and the pathway helps school leaders decide how it all fits together.

Three workbooks, one for each topic

Students work through each workbook with their teacher or facilitator. The activities ask them to weigh evidence, sit with uncertainty and explain their thinking.

AI Ethics and Digital Identity

How AI systems describe, sort and represent people, and what students can do about it.

Students explore

  • When to use AI, when not to, and how to say so openly
  • How to verify, challenge and disclose AI-generated material
  • How data and platforms shape the picture other people hold of them

Neuroprivacy

How signals from bodies and behaviour become inferences and predictions about minds.

Students explore

  • The step from signal to measurement, to inference, to prediction
  • What consent means when a system is influencing you
  • How to ask what evidence supports a claim about a person

Work, Identity and Careers

How AI is changing work, and how students can think about who they are becoming.

Students explore

  • How AI is changing tasks, roles and hiring
  • How strengths, values and interests point to more than one path
  • What to build now: judgement, communication and adaptability

The same activities, at the depth each student is ready for.

Each workbook is staged, so a mixed group can work on the same material while being stretched at different levels.

Foundation

Core ideas, with guided prompts to build confidence.

Developing

Applying the ideas to new cases with less scaffolding.

Advanced

Weighing competing evidence and the interests of different people.

Extended

Independent investigation and a reasoned position.

A guide for every workbook

Each workbook has its own guide, written so that teachers and facilitators can lead the conversation with confidence, whether or not they consider themselves AI specialists.

AI Ethics and Digital Identity

Lead open, honest conversations about AI use, disclosure and verification, including what your school allows and why.

Neuroprivacy

Guide students through unfamiliar technology by keeping them focused on evidence, consent and influence.

Work, Identity and Careers

Support career conversations that stay honest about uncertainty without tipping into anxiety or hype.

Every guide includes

  • Facilitation notes for each activity
  • Discussion prompts and suggested questions
  • Assessment guidance that rewards reasoning over a single right answer
  • Notes for adapting the material to your group and setting

From individual sessions to a whole-school approach

Beyond the classroom materials, the collection includes an adaptable pathway for the institution: where the collection sits, who leads it, how staff prepare and how it develops over time.

Where it fits

Placing the collection within tutorial, pastoral, computing, careers or personal development time.

Who leads it

Roles for senior leaders, coordinators and the teachers facilitating in the classroom.

How to adapt it

Adjusting sequence, pace and depth to your timetable, cohort and context. The pathway is adaptable, not prescriptive.
